“Never stop having fun in shooting even when you think it's competition time.”
Built Through Experience
He grew up in the dark forests of Northern Bavaria — where, as he puts it, there are a lot of guns. A late uncle, a Diana 45 air rifle, and a pear tree started it all.
Bernhard Lippe went from backyard shooting to competing in international military sniper competitions, finishing 4th at the US Army International Sniper Competition at Fort Benning, Georgia. Today he competes across dynamic pistol, revolver, carbine and rifle disciplines — and brings to every range the same thing he always has: loyalty, integrity, and an infectious love for the sport.

From Backyard Shooting To International Competition
The Beginning
Bernhard grew up in Northern Bavaria, Germany — dark forests, fresh air, and, as he describes it, a lot of guns. The spark came from his late uncle, who handed him a Diana 45 air rifle and pointed him at a pear tree. That was all it took.
Military Roots
Before competitive civilian shooting, Bernhard served in the German Army, where he competed in MilComp and several international sniper competitions with considerable success. The highlight of that chapter was a 4th place finish at the US Army International Sniper Competition in Fort Benning, Georgia — one of the most demanding precision shooting events in the world. It shaped not only his technical foundation but his entire approach to the sport.
The Competitor
Bernhard describes himself in three words: competitive, relaxed, charming. That combination is rarer than it sounds. He is driven enough to push constantly for improvement — his acknowledged weakness is 25-metre precision pistol shooting, and he trains it specifically because of that — yet relaxed enough that every session at the range is something he genuinely looks forward to. He has never once needed to motivate himself to show up.
Beyond the Range
Few people know that beneath the competitive exterior is someone who describes his greatest achievement not as a podium finish but as his daughter Josefine. He works in the outdoor industry, runs the ePIG Group YouTube channel, and uses every opportunity — including introduction courses for new shooters — to open people's minds to the sport. Not one participant, he says, has ever left the range without a smile.
What It Takes
Loyalty. Integrity. And the understanding that shooting is a hobby built to bring people together — not divide them.

What It Takes
“Invest in training and ammo, not in gear you do not need. Never stop having fun — even when you think it's competition time.”
Competition-Proven Sightmark
Bernhard's relationship with Sightmark began approximately five years ago through product review work — long before he became a sponsored athlete. That time gave him something most athletes don't have: genuine, deep familiarity with the products before any formal partnership existed. What started as professional collaboration became something closer to friendship.
At the NovakHunting Rimfire PRS PRO Match 2026 - one of the most demanding rimfire precision competitions in Europe - Bernhard ran the Sightmark Presidio 5-30x56 alongside the Mini Shot M-Spec V1. His own assessment after three days of heavy rain, wind gusts up to 8.5 m/s, and targets at up to 300 metres:
“The scope was the strongest-performing component of the entire setup. Optical clarity was excellent, reticle subtensions performed accurately, click adjustments were precise, and return-to-zero was consistent - comparable with the major premium brands used by my competitors.”
That is not a marketing claim. That is a field report.
