“The clarity at night and day is excellent. To me, all the elements of the Wraith work great together.”

Being raised on a farm in South Africa, Laurence did not only learn to respect and admire nature and life, but he was also very fortunate to follow in his family’s footsteps as a hunter.  His personal journey has inspired many young hunters and taught them valuable life lessons, such as patience, dedication, and wildlife conservation.

As a very young hunter, Laurence was allowed to only practice pest control - pigeons, rats and other small game, threatening the family’s crops. “First it was pheasant, then guinea fowl and only after we proved our worth with good shot placement, safety and gun awareness, were we allowed to move on to the next stage or animal.  As children, these "stages or levels" that my dad had us gone through, left us so frustrated.  But today, as a hunter, I understand and respect his means.”

The fact that Laurence has successfully hunted over 50 species of animals across South Africa and North America, paired with his passion for writing, has led him to a very prolific career as an author. In the past few years, Laurence has written over 60 articles for Game & Hunt, Africa’s Sportman, and since recently you can read his contributions for The African Outfitter magazine.

Since recently, Laurence has ventured out into the world of night vision optics, choosing the Wraith 4K Max as his “go-to” digital nightvision riflescope. “The clarity at night and day is excellent. To me, all the elements of the Wraith work great together. It is a well-balanced digital day/night riflescope that enables the hunter to perform his task precisely. The fact that you can record your hunting experiences day and night is really beneficial. The quality of the video is unbelievable. Most importantly, I cannot stress enough how user-friendly it is.  It has great technology for the new generation with good features.  It is easy for younger or youth hunters to learn using it as well.  The fact that it is very intuitive to operate will not scare off the older generation either.”
